We don't design
phone cases.
We release
editions.
On time.
The year on the logo is 1975. It is not our founding year. It is the year we point to — the last decade in which product design on ordinary objects was allowed to be loud, graphic, and confident without apology.
Canned drinks, packaging, transport posters, consumer electronics: objects you used every day and then threw away. Designed with a seriousness we rarely give to everyday objects anymore.
Since 1975 is a studio that treats a phone case with the same seriousness. Not as a protective accessory. As a label. As a chapter of a collection.
On rarity.
Rarity cannot be manufactured. It can only be chosen.
We release one edition a month. When the stock runs out, the drop closes and moves to the archive. We do not reprint. We do not restock. We do not bring a piece back for an anniversary, a holiday, a wave of demand, a "final chance". When a drop is gone, that is the fact of it.
This is a discipline, not a marketing angle. The studio makes better work when it knows it has only one chance to release each piece.
On collection.
Each edition belongs to a collection. A collection is a family of drops sharing a visual language and a question they try to answer.
The Philosophy Collection — Volume I, 2025 — asked: what happens when we put an existential image on the back of the most-looked-at object in our life? Five editions. All archived.
The Flavor Collection — Volume II, 2026 — asks the opposite: what happens when we translate the visual confidence of mid-century consumer packaging onto a very personal object? Seven editions planned. The first is live.
A third collection is being drawn. It will be announced when the last Flavor drop closes.
On collectors.
We don't have customers. We have collectors. The distinction matters.
A customer buys the product. A collector buys the position in the story — the first drop, the founding edition, the one that sold out in 72 hours, the one released during the summer campaign. The archive remembers who was there.
Founding collectors of The Flavor Collection own something that only ever exists once: the beginning.
In numbers.
No more. No less.
At most, across all active collections.
Once archived, a drop is done. Forever.
Switzerland. Shipped worldwide within a week.
The next drop will be announced on The 1975 List, 24 hours before the public release.
